Pokemon Booster Box

Which Pokemon Booster Box to choose?

If you're a collector looking for that rare card among the latest editions, you'll have to go for the Sword and Shield Booster Boxes or Scarlet and Violet Boxes. These are the latest releases, but the Pokémon Sun and Moon editions are still relevant, especially if you also want to go head-to-head with other trainers with cards that have specific TCG battle mechanics.

If you're looking for a very specific Pokémon Booster Box that's no longer on sale in Japan (before 2018) or anywhere else in the world, you'll need to turn to a store specializing in the resale of second-hand products.

How many cards are there in a Pokémon Booster Box?

In a Pokemon Booster Box, there are 30 packs. Depending on the edition, this can vary: while most have 30, some will only have 20, 16 and others 10. This is due to the limited editions, which may contain more cards or have fewer copies than the classics.

A pack of Pokémon cards in Japan contains 5 cards, sometimes 7. We can do a quick math (you should be able to follow us, it's not that complicated!), number of cards per number of packs, and we come up with a total of 150 cards in a classic box of playing cards or collectible cards.

How much does a Pokémon Booster Box cost?

The price of a Booster Box will vary according to the country of origin, its rarity and the number of Boosters inside. A Pokémon Box will generally cost around $180, if you consider that it contains 30 packs of 10 cards, in the US (retail price, in specialized stores or supermarkets).

Here, we send you Pokémon cards directly from Japan: they're less expensive, exclusive and unique. A Box will cost between $35 and $200, again depending on the edition. The advantage is that you can select your cards more easily, and get the ones you want even more simply!

Find your favorite Pokémon card

It's sometimes very difficult to find the card of your dreams with a simple Pokémon Booster, because you'll have to buy lots of them and search for hours to find the Pokémon EX Card or Pokémon VSTAR Card you want.

Box is a solution for you, especially those imported directly from Japan. For the record, in the US, Pokémon editions are a combination of two Japanese editions. If you know the card you want, with a Japanese Booster Box or Booster Pack, you're twice as likely to find the right one!

But there are other solutions, depending on what you're looking for....

The rarest cards? A Pokémon Display

As you saw above, there are usually 30 packs in a Display, and this is where you'll find the holographic or full-art cards you're looking for, but you'll have to make as many openings as possible to find them.

A specific card? A Theme Deck or Theme Box

If the Pokémon V or rare card you're looking for is already available in a Pokémon Deck, you can opt for the latter! What's more, your deck will be fully battle-ready if you're playing TCG matches: they're often inspired by champions or arenas from the universe.

Pokémon Boxed Sets are another solution, as they come with rare and exclusive cards, as well as everything else: a play mat, card protectors, cases, etc. They're often prized by collectors, but also by great card players!

Small budget, big desire? Get a Pokémon Booster Pack

The final option is the Pokémon Booster Pack, sold individually. It's often for those who want to use their luck on a small quantity of cards, but you can always come across one that's overpowered.
